In those days we weren’t even allowed to advertise!
So marketing was all about building relationships…
10 years on I moved into business with an MBA. I’ve worked with all sorts, from a top city law firm to a bank (yes, I know) and smaller firms too – in roles from quality to marketing.
I even started and ran my own small business in the fitness industry. So I know it’s tough!
As ever, today building great relationships with your customers and prospects is the key to business success.

I grew up in the beautiful and ancient New Forest.
My passion is horses. I love eventing and qualified my first horse for Badminton Horse Trials. Yes, a while ago

My favourite recent holiday was riding and camping in the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan.
I’ve got a black belt in judo.
I’m fascinated by myths, energies and ancient mysteries…
Astrology? I’m a Gemini, with Libra ascendant (ah, so that’s where the legal stuff came from…).
Gemini is ruled by Mercury – the planet and also the Roman god of communications and commerce.
I’m scared of snakes and heights.
My hero is Nelson Mandela (he was a lawyer too).
I want to go firewalking and see the Northern Lights.
How did we meet?
I really prefer my 2nd name, Charles – but call me Nigel.
I’m from West London – I’ve supported Chelsea since I was 4!
My passions are cooking and playing guitar. My family and friends seem to prefer my cooking so, fortunately for them I do more cooking than playing guitar. Still harbour those dreams of becoming a rock star one day…
I love all things Spanish. Especially chorizo and Rioja!
My favourite recent holiday was mountain biking in the Sierra Nevada mountains in Andalucia.
I’ve got a black cat called Boris.

I’m scared of falling off Lily (my gypsy pony) and heights.
